Connecting Globally – improving clinical quality and supporting practice through peer education

In October 2023 we had the privilege of presenting our work on the Pegasus Health – South Tyneside Small group education pilot at the World Organization of Family Doctor’s World Conference (WONCA) in Sydney.  Service Manager Louise Kennedy, spoke about how through collaboration the Clinical Connect Peer Education Programme was able to be successfully delivered to GPs in South Tyneside.  

The team that included Louise as well as Clinical Director Ben Hudson, South Tyneside based GP, Matthew Walmsley and researcher Susan Bidwill then worked together on a journal article for the British Journal of General Practice, the article is now live and outlines the initial pilot and what we have learned from the experience.
